UserGate Web Filter performs Internet filtering for companies, schools, Internet providers, public Wi-Fi Internet access points.

UserGate Web Filter combines multiple content filtering methods to ensure high accuracy, minimal false positives, and compliance with government regulations such as the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), including Internet Watch Foundation blacklists.

It is a cloud solution based on DNS request filtering that allows you to block unsafe and irrelevant resources and analyzes internet usage .

How does it work ?
The Internet-connected device uses a DNS server. As soon as the user enters a website address in the browser's address bar , for example: www.google.com , the request is forwarded to the DNS server, which returns the IP address to the page , and then the page will be loaded. With this service , you can fully control the DNS server , and will be able to block any categories of websites , as well as view statistics of all user requests .

DNS query filtering is not as secure as traffic filtering , but it is much easier to accommodate large numbers of users located on different networks and subnets.
